The purposes of NEATs are to provide programs and services in a religious,
ecumenical setting for mature and older adults in the northeast area of
Oklahoma, through fellowship for education and enrichment, excursions
and trips, and support groups; and to develop and sponsor other services
that will be beneficial to the elderly population, including centenarians.

NEATs Announces Wellness Series for 2008
“NEAT’s Keys to a Healthy ‘08” will be the theme of the monthly gatherings of the
Northeast Active Timers (NEATs) each second Wednesday of the month, January
through May and September through December.
Wellness programs for the year will focus on:

- “Food & Drug Interaction and What Vitamins Enrich Life at My Age?” March
12
- “Being Educated About Parkinson Disease” April 9
- “I Will be Well” May 14
- “Preventing and Living with Arthritis” Sept. 10
- “Diabetes and Aging” Oct. 8
- “Early Onset Alzheimer’s — Do I Have Symptoms?” Nov. 12
- “Proper Nutrition During the Holidays” Dec. 10.
Included in each month’s gathering is a time of spiritual enrichment, education,
