Northeast Area Music Festival a Success!
| The Northeast Area Music Festival, sponsored by the Growing Congregations, was held at East Side Christian Church on August 26. Rev. Shane Hickey, pastor of Fellowship Christian Church, Broken Arrow, was the organizer. A variety of music was presented and a choir consisting of members from each congregation performed. |
Rogers Heights Closes Its Doors
| After 60 years of ministry in Tulsa, Rogers Heights Christian Church closed its doors for the final time on Sunday, August 26. Regional Pastor Rev. Thomas Jewell, Associate Regional Pastor Rev. Gary Mitchell, and Rogers Heights Pastor Donna Gilchrist led the congregation in a celebration and decommissioning service. The property and its assets will be placed into an Oklahoma Disciples Foundation endowment fund. |
