Northeast Area Christian Church in Oklahoma
Northeast Area New Church Development Fund (1984)
To provide money, either for capital needs or programs of new congregations in
the Northeast Area.
Northeast Area Small Membership Congregations Fund (1993)
To be used by the Small Membership Congregations Committee of the Northeast
Area for the benefit of small congregations.
Northeast Minority Congregations Fund (1993)
To provide assistance for the “Convocation” congregations in the Northeast Area
or other minority congregations that may be established in the area.
Northeast Area Ministers Emergency Fund (1987)
To provide resources to assist pastors in the Northeast Area and clergy families
when special needs arise.
Northeast Leadership Development Scholarship Fund (1986)
To encourage leadership development in the Northeast Area. Coursework
toward a college degree does not qualify. For the policy governing this fund, click

Northeast Area Capital Fund (1962)
To provide capital needs in the Northeast Area, including new congregations,
Camp Christian, and the area office.
Northeast Area Operating Fund (1984)
To provide funds for the operating budget of the Northeast Area
Cargile Older Adult Ministries (2002)
The Northeast Area Board uses income from this fund to issue grants to new
and current ministries for Older Adults in the Northeast Area. For the policy

Camp Christian Scholarship Fund (1977)
To aid young people attending Camp Christian
Camp Christian Capital Fund (1984)
To assist with capital improvements
Camp Christian Operations Fund (2003)
To provide income for camp operations
Older Adult Sharing & Interfaith Services [OASISJ Fund (1999)
To benefit the OASIS adult day care as determined by its Board of Directors
Northeast Active Timers [NEATS) Fund (1999)
To provide benefits to NEATs, an activity and support program for the
chronologically gifted (55+). The program also works in conjunction with the
Centenarian Club of Oklahoma.
Disciples Village Tenants Fund (1987)
To provide for residents’ special needs and/or opportunities such as community
equipment and furnishings, craft activities or recreation events
Disciples Village Chaplaincy Fund (1991)
To provide a chaplain for Disciples Village, preferably a student at Phillips
Theological Seminary. The part-time position enhances the spiritual life of the
residents and provides student training opportunities.


The Northeast Area currently has 15 named Endowment Funds that are managed by
the Oklahoma Disciples Foundation.
